Think about it …
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/heb.4.12.KJV
A powerful scripture verse!
The words “two-edged sword” stick out in my mind today because I have had a “two-edged” tongue. Trying to reach a business by telephone. A business I subscribe and pay monthly to will not answer my call. Their automatic “chat” responder, to which I have royally left a good chunk of mind, automatically assures someone will reach out to me– but well over two weeks have passed and no one has. Even the sharp and dividing asunder phone messages I have left are not returned.
I am ashamed of my impatience. Although this business displays a message on their website they are experiencing technological issues, it does not calm my spirit to know I have been paying well over two weeks for a service I am not receiving.
Surely I am taking this scripture verse out of context. Now that I am calm, or calmer, I’ve got to go on with my day trying not to think about the wrecking ball I can be when things do not go my way.
I will offer a prayer of forgiveness and ask God to see the true intents of my heart are to remain patient, calm, and kind. Especially in the face of technology and unresponsive customer service!
